Making you feel stronger every day
We work together to build a healthier you!
When you decided to become part of a retirement community or assisted living, you wanted to enjoy a certain measure of independence during your golden years. While you might not want all the stress and responsibility of taking care of a home, you do want the freedom to tend to your own needs as much as possible, and enjoy life to its fullest.
Sometimes circumstances can make that difficult as we grow older. Perhaps you suffered a setback, such as a fall or stroke that left you unable to perform tasks you once did with ease. Or perhaps you no longer have the strength you did during your younger years. No matter what the issue, it’s possible that strengthening exercises and a structured program may help you increase or maintain key physical abilities.
Our goal is always to help our residents maintain or improve their level of functioning so they can be active members of our retirement communities.
It doesn’t get any easier or more convenient than licensed and certified experts that come directly to you. You’ll receive the rehabilitation services you need right in the comfort of the home you’ve made with us at Hillcrest Royale.
What does physical therapy do?
An important question residents often ask is, “How do I know if I need physical therapy?” While the real answer depends on an assessment by a clinician, physical therapy is generally intended for those who need help with:
- Muscle function
Physical therapists can help with balance training, fall prevention, assessments for adaptive equipment, and more. They can assist individuals who have had falls, heart attacks, strokes, hip or joint replacements, and other conditions.
